What I can help you with...
Codicils
A codicil is a legal document that allows you to amend your existing will. It is stored and read alongside your will and can be useful if you just want to alter or add to an existing clause in your will.
Trusts
A trust is a legal mechanism used to manage and protect assets for your loved ones. It can be created both during your lifetime or on death through your will.
They are often useful to safeguard the interests of disabled and vulnerable beneficiaries, and also as a tax planning mechanism.
Tax Planning
I offer a bespoke service to advise you of any exemptions, reliefs and tax mitigating opportunities available to preserve your estate.

A will is a legal document that allows you to stipulate who will inherit your property, possessions and business interests on your death, and who will manage your estate. It can also be used to appoint guardians to care for your children who are under 18.
Without a will, the law decides who will inherit your estate and important people may be excluded, such as cohabitees who are not recognised under the intestacy rules.
Wills can range in complexity, depending on your circumstances and requirements. Usually a simple will is required but sometimes a will trust may be beneficial.
Wills
Property Will Trusts are becoming increasingly popular, often used to preserve and protect the family home for future generations.
They are commonly drafted to allow the surviving spouse/partner to continue to live in the property following the death of the first spouse/partner.
The deceased's share of the home is held on trust and preserved until the second death. It then passes to those stated in the will.
Property Will Trusts
Lasting Powers of Attorney are important documents that allow you to decide who will manage your affairs while you are alive, particularly if you lack the ability to make these decisions yourself.
A Property and Finances Lasting Power of Attorney gives your appointed attorneys legal authority to manage your property and financial affairs on your behalf.
A Health and Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney authorises your attorneys to make decisions relating to matters such as your medical treatment, your daily routine and care, and where you live.
A General Power of Attorney is a simple document that allows you to appoint one or more attorneys to manage your affairs. These can be particularly useful if you spend time abroad and need someone to manage your affairs while you are away. Unlike LPAs, they become invalid if you lose mental capacity.
